Dogs 03:15
Well it hasn't been easy, this past year Need a voice of comfort, no blanket judgement to listen and hear So I talk to the hag on my chest She says I'm a hard one to possess She goes whooshy, I lick her ear And reminds me kindly I have everything to fear "Who is this who is coming?", I take a stand Drop everything out to Iceland Find a dead fish on Grótta beach Can you see death in 360 degrees? All I wanna be, all I wanna see All I wanna feel, all I wanna read is 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 all dogs go to heaven 6, 10, 8, 1, 12, 14 I know what you want, I know what you need I used to count myself lucky for years Before downs and downs and rounds and rounds put me here So I talk to this girl, she seems nice Beat back the world, beat back the strife Because dogs go to heaven I used to be the youngest kid at the punk gig Now I'm only the youngest guy at the folk club I get offered tea in bars they take offence I can't partake in such delicacies as caffeine, my body just can't hack it 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11...

Salop Cowboy 02:52
2am in the service shop, fella slams a quart on the counter-top Puts a scarf down next and mutters "scum" Then picks a can of raw petroleum So its Stiperstones to the cleft of Clee Coalbrookdale to Wem The cosmos lacks a start tonight and I'll find it before them 3am atop Caer Caradoc, out in search of the cosmic rock Bestetsoned boy, wild and free, maps a Salop tapestry So its Caynton Caves to Bagginswood Offa's Dyke to Wem The cosmos lacks a start tonight and I'll find it before them But then spy a byway I get on the highway and breath Done it my way, you'll see And then play it for joy, just Salop cowboy He's out to destroy, you'll see 5am and he spies it low, sun glints the crest of the burrow With his molotov in hand, the rock ablaze he takes his stand "Never had a lesson in my life, but that's alright" And sets his skin alight

about

Dogs concerns anyone who's ever been the youngest kid in the mosh pit or the oldest person in the club.

The b-side recounts the infamous 'Salop Lights' incident (dubbed 'Shropshire's Roswell' by local press) that caused much panic and intrigue throughout the county one night in 1982.

This release is expanded by an Anna Rocchi directed video, documenting a day in the life of a man and his dog.
